Home Owners

Household claims are dealt with differently to by each Insurance company. Depending on claim value and complexity, Insurers may or may not decide to instruct Loss Adjuster’s to act on their behalf, but not the policyholders.

It is best to instruct a Claims Consultant before reporting your claim. However, if you are not ready to appoint one, just get in touch with them as detailed in your policy wording or via your broker if you have used one.

Depending on the size of your claim, Insurers will want a very detailed account with regards to what’s happened and what has been affected. Appointing your own Consultant appointed at this stage is vital as our role would be a qualified expert is on your side to ensure the claim is covered quickly and fairly. We would insist on being at any meeting with Insurers or their representatives and our aim would be to put together a case to ensure your claim is covered before proceeding to negotiate claim settlement.

In many cases, we find Policyholders don’t benefit fully from their insurance cover. Often, they are not aware of their entitlement, or the claim is reduced after insurers and their representatives apply what they believe to be policy terms.
